Jerry Reynolds – CEO

 

Jerry Reynolds began his career in the roofing industry shortly after being honorably discharged from the Marine Corps in 1984. He began as an apprentice roofer and worked his way to journeyman and then foreman. During his time as a roofer, he installed millions of square feet of most types of roof systems from thermosets (EPDM) to thermoplastics (PVC CSPE) to modified bitumen and built-up roof systems.

 

He left the installation side of the business and entered the discipline of consultation. For the next 25 years, he worked for two nationally known engineering companies that specialize in roofing and building envelopes. His responsibilities during that time have primarily been in roof design, roof evaluations, asset management, investigations, consultations and quality control.

 

During this 30 year tenure as a consultant, Jerry has provided the roof management, design, consultation and construction observation for numerous school districts and to architectural companies for many complex projects around the country. He has provided professional services for the rehabilitation of structures protected by the National Historical Registry such as the Logan Temple for the LDS Church in Logan, Utah and the James J. Hill Library in St. Paul, MN.

 

Jerry has a wealth of experience working with perishable facilities in the food distribution industry. Because of his experience with these types of facilities, his consultation services have been sought by many design companies within the industry. The consultation services have been to aid in the design of air tight building envelopes for new construction, existing facilities and the conversion of dry storage spaces into perishable rooms. He has traveled extensively around the United States and abroad.

 

Mr. Reynolds has many years of experience working with educational institutions across the Midwest. The types of institutions include independent school districts, state and private universities. He has also provided professional services for roof design and quality control for the Metropolitan Airports Commission (MAC) in Minneapolis,
MN., New Yorl/New Jersey Port Authority, Detroit International and Boston Logan International.

 

Jerry has experience with nearly every type of roof system and material available. He also has the many years of experience in roof management and the development of roof management plans. Roof management is a tool that allows the owner or manager of a building or buildings to maximize the performance life of their roof systems by performing timely evaluations and routine maintenance. It also provides the owner with yearly budgets for maintenance, repairs and the scheduling of roof replacement.

 

Jerry also has 30 years of experience evaluating exterior walls and providing consultation for new construction and wall rehabilitation. The types of walls include insulated panel walls, precast concrete, brick, block and stucco.

 

Jerry is a member of RCI (Roof Consultants Institute) and has lectured before the Minnesota codes
officials symposium and has provided presentations on roofing for numerous professional design companies and national companies with multiple real estate assets.
